As the hot weather has hit us,
And the fans have been taken out of the shed.
The last thing most students are thinking about is revision.
Therefore,
As I have done for the last 3 years,
I am going to take a short break from these weekly newsletters over the Summer.
I know my Sunday email with revision tips and tricks are the highlight of most people’s weeks,
And therefore, this news will be devastating for many.
(Hopefully the sarcasm was clear enough).

In all seriousness,
I really enjoy the process of communicating with thousands of parents and students through these newsletters.
I believe that the education system has let down the vast majority of students and thus I am trying my best to provide what I deem to be necessary strategic information to as many people as possible.
For those of you who have been reading these emails for a while,
Thank you.
And to those of you who are newer,
You can expect tips and tricks intended to help your teenager get more marks in less time in their exams,
And to help them feel more confident along the way.
I also write about some more general learning principles that can be applied to anyone,
And occasionally, I will write an email relating to a topical conversations teenagers have with their parents.
Relationships, Holidays, Gambling etc.

As my company ILS (https://www.independentlearningstrategies.co.uk/) grows,
I have never been more committed to helping as many parents as possible through a variety of formats.
Different parents and students are after varying advice and want to receive this information in a variety of ways.
This newsletter will remain a crucial piece of that puzzle.

I hope you all have a great Summer ahead,
Please do send me an email to joel@ilscoaching.co.uk if you have any questions or if I can help you in any way,
And I look forward to popping up in your inbox again in August.
Best wishes,
Joel
